Osa Ecology(圖1)-速報App

Share your wildlife observations and learn about Costa Rica's endangered species!

The Osa Ecology app makes it easier than ever to record the wildlife you see in Costa Rica. When you keep track of what you see in the app, your observations, pictures and locations will be logged and shared for scientific research, education, and conservation purposes.

Gathering enough data to fund and justify conservation efforts has always been a complicated and time-consuming process. Without this information, it is nearly impossible to accurately analyze the consequences of environmental changes — climate change, population increase, acceleration of tourism ... Until now.

When you download and use this app, the location, species, and visual data spotted throughout Costa Rica will be logged and used to propose conservation-related zoning rules for endangered or of interest species.

Key features include:

- Pre-populated information on endemic species ranging from terrestrial to marine animals. (Unsure of what you're looking at? Send us a picture & we'll help you to identify it!)

- Individualized GPS location-based mapping, so you can keep track of everything you've observed in the wild in Costa Rica.

- Semi-to-full offline functionality, log your observations even in areas with limited or no Internet connection.

- English and Spanish translations fully available, with more languages coming soon!

- Access to the conglomerated map showing the last 200 species observations.

This is a long term project, and we're excited to have you join in and become a part of the solution. Get the app TODAY!

Be part of the investigation! Capture, share and learn about Costa Rica's wildlife through your observations!

Osa Ecology is a Costa Rican non governmental organization (NGO) with the main objective of promoting research conservation of endangered and indicator species in ACOSA, Costa Rica. Our intention is to provide a free tool to tourists, local residents, government and researchers so that we all can learn and protect the rich biodiversity of this unique area.
